Wow. There is quite a bit to say about Factory Studios. This fully equipped, 3000 square foot soundstage in Williamsburg is impressive, to say the least. They’ve got literally everything you need for your production – greenscreen cyclorama, full soundproofing throughout, a 20′ x 30′ corner cyc, and full in-house production capabilities for wherever you need support.
Be Present. Believe. Become. This is the mantra of the Harlem Holistic Center – and a closer look reveals even more. We met with Ken at this very zen space and we were beyond impressed. The super clean and open center aims to give Harlem residents the opportunity to develop their practices in Harlem, without having to travel elsewhere in the city. As a result, the community atmosphere is strong, with local artists’ work on the walls and yoga, massage, and nutritional practice co-existing harmoniously.
So, if you are looking to rent a yoga studio, massage therapist, or any other holistic space, and don’t want to travel to midtown or downtown, check out Harlem Holistic. You won’t leave disappointed, and you may just be able to contribute to the vibrant Harlem community by offering your service or event here on West 128th Street.
Need to plan a meetup or a meeting? Need a bar? (Of course you do!) 28 on 27 fits the bill. This chic and super-versatile open space features glossy hardwood floors, modern decor, and a built-in bar, perfect for entertaining your clients or friends.
We really love it for social gatherings, but, if you’re looking for a photo studio, use the cyclorama and easy photography setup to shoot product, then turn your cameras and use the living room setup or bar area for a little editorial. You’ll love the versatility of the space, and the staff literally couldn’t be friendlier.
Picture Ray Studio is one of the most versatile and user-friendly spaces that you’ll find in Manhattan. Located across from Barney’s Co-Op on West 18th Street, this space is all about making it easy for you.
What makes this space so special? Anyone who has run a photo shoot or large event will quickly see the first bonus: ground floor access via car. That’s right, nestled on West 18th Street, this space has a driveway that comes right into the space. So, you’ll be able to move all of your equipment, tables, product, whatever you need, into the site without stairs, elevators, or freight elevators with limited hours. Need to photograph something huge? Drive it right in. You can photograph or feature cars, horses, whatever it is that you need, with ease. The back wall has a large seamless white backdrop built in, making for an easy product shoot.
Plus, the space has polished cement floors which are easy to clean up after any shoot, and even a large drain in the floor making it possible to create water or ice environments for a shoot, and then drain them when you are done.
But, we love this site for much more than photography. The extra-large 4200 square foot floor plan and high ceilings also make it an ideal venue for meet-ups, weddings, or presentations.
Additional features to make your event a breeze include a comfortable client area, make-up and wardrobe area, steamers/irons/garment racks, wireless internet and an ipod-ready stereo system.
For photography shoots, a full range of support is available, from curtain system to full grip/lighting/set supply rental.
Brian, the onsite manager, has been running the space for several years, and he knows the ropes of both space rental and customer service – so he knows how to work with you to make the space work for whatever it is that you need. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a meet-up, or a photo shoot, Picture Ray is worth a look.
Easy subway access (A-C-E-F-1-2 lines are all within a 5 minute walk) will make it as easy for your clients and guests as it is for you.
