For most of you, this means a three-day weekend. But for some, inspiration never sleeps. For others, inspiration never comes.
We’ve talked about what you consider art and what inspires you, but…what do you do when you hit a creative wall?
My suggestion, even though I’m a writer more than a performer – change your scenery. A literal change in perspective can also help to change your mindset and loosen the mortar in that brick wall blocking your way, or help you figure out a way to jump it. (I’m really stretching the metaphors far today…bear with me).
Maybe your space is a walk in the park, or your favorite corner cafe, or even the neighborhood bodega to get some dinner because you suddenly realized you’re starving. Find a way to take some space from your project, even if it seems like you won’t be able to get away from it, I promise you’ll be able to. And a long three day weekend ahead of you is the perfect incentive to get away. Maybe even take a staycation with airbnb?
Just do it.
